Poor Pokey has had a bit of a rough time lately. First, we got miniature donkeys. They are adorable, but Pokey didn't seem to think so. He was put in a stall in the barn, but didn't seem to like that too much. Another problem came our two beautiful mules, Kit and Roadie, came to the rescue, Pokey was starting to get some strong feelings for them. However, Pokey is not gelded, which meant he had to be kept far, far away from the girls. A nice family was kind enough to foster him for a while, but after he went after their older dog, they could no longer keep him. Pokey is back at the rescue for a while, and we are currently trying to raise money for him to be safely gelded. Please support Poley's fund, he deserves all the help he can get.

Hello again! Lately Pokey has been loving the cooler weather and enjoying running around during the day in a bigger pasture out behind his. Of course, Flash still tends to pick on him, along with a couple of other horses out with him, but he gets along well and has no problem defending himself. He's such a good little guy.

Hi everyone, welcome to Pokey's page! Pokey is an incredibly sweet donkey that will love anyone who crosses his path. However he doesn't particularly like it when you walk past him without giving him some attention! He is a great asset to the Rescue, but may tend to be slightly forgotten out there in the back. If you ever have some extra time, Pokey would really appreciate it if you stopped by and gave his huge ears a nice scratch!
